Blues for Hannah
Jeremiah Mason is struggling to keep his marriage to his college sweetheart LeeAnne afloat when an early-morning phone call informs him of the death of his former love, a beautiful, rebellious blues singer named Hannah, in a car crash on a far-away interstate. His world turned upside-down, Jeremiah and his precocious eight-year-old son, Sammy, must go to the accident site to identify Hannah's body: It is a journey that takes them across the continent -- and decades-deep into a re-examination of the past.
Spanning at once a few intense days and 20 years, Blues for Hannah is a tender meditation on the different forms of love that enrich our lives, binding parent to child, lover to lover, and husband to wife.
